Five-dimensional interpolation in the OVT domain for wide-azimuth seismic data

چکیده
Abstract To improve the imaging quality of wide-azimuth seismic data and enhance uniformity attributes between adjacent bins, we developed a novel interpolation method in offset-vector tiles (OVT) domain for data. The orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) based on Fourier transform is frequency-domain processing technique discrete that achieves goal anti-aliasing by extracting weight factor effective band from low-frequency without aliasing. For reconstruction, OMP-based OVT comprehensively uses five dimensions: vertical horizontal coordinates, time, offset azimuth. Compared with conventional three-dimensional interpolation, five-dimensional more accurate better results practical applications.

Seismic data regularization for marine wide azimuth data
Imaging subsalt structures under the complex overburdens is a challenging task in seismic exploration due to the poor illumination of seismic waves. To solve the illumination problem, geophysicists designed the wide azimuth acquisition. Moreover, WAZ acquisition improves the signal to noise ratio by increasing the azimuthal fold, and reduces multiple interferences in the final images (Etgen, 20...
متن کاملInterpolation of aliased seismic data in the curvelet domain
We propose a robust interpolation scheme for aliased regularly sampled seismic data that uses the curvelet transform. In a first pass, the curvelet transform is used to compute the curvelet coefficients of the aliased seismic data. The aforementioned coefficients are divided into two groups of scales: alias-free and alias-contaminated scales. The alias-free curvelet coefficients are upscaled to...
متن کاملAttenuation of spatial aliasing in CMP domain by non-linear interpolation of seismic data along local slopes
Spatial aliasing is an unwanted side effect that produces artifacts during seismic data processing, imaging and interpolation. It is often caused by insufficient spatial sampling of seismic data and often happens in CMP (Common Mid-Point) gather. To tackle this artifact, several techniques have been developed in time-space domain as well as frequency domain such as frequency-wavenumber, frequen...
متن کاملCosparse seismic data interpolation
Many modern seismic data interpolation and redatuming algorithms rely on the promotion of transform-domain sparsity for high-quality results. Amongst the large diversity of methods and different ways of realizing sparse reconstruction lies a central question that often goes unaddressed: is it better for the transform-domain sparsity to be achieved through explicit construction of sparse represe...
متن کاملWide-azimuth angle-domain imaging for anisotropic reverse-time migration
Extended common-image-point gathers (CIP) constructed by wide-azimuth TI wave-equation migration contain all the necessary information for angle decomposition as a function of the reflection and azimuth angles at selected locations in the subsurface. The reflection and azimuth angles are derived from the extended images using analytic relations between the space-lag and time-lag extensions. Thi...
